Who We Are
For more than 25 years, Chosen Wood Window Maintenance has helped preserve some of the most significant historic buildings in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We're a full-service restoration contractor, and the three specialized products featured on this site are a direct result of that experience.
Developed through decades of hands-on restoration work, they address common challenges faced by architects, contractors and preservation professionals -- from deteriorated components and energy-performance requirements, to the need to maintain historic character, sightlines and architectural integrity.
Each product has been refined through real-world application and designed to meet the practical demands of historic preservation projects while respecting the original design of the building.

Timberline Lodge Mt.
Hood, Oregon
A National Historic Landmark built by the Works Progress Administration in 1937, Timberline Lodge is one of the most recognized examples of Cascadian architecture in the United States.
Crater Lake Lodge
Crater Lake National Park, Oregon
A historic backcountry lodge within one of America's most visited national parks. Restoration work required meeting the exacting standards of both the National Park Service and preservation oversight bodies.
Fort Yellowstone
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
A National Historic Landmark and the administrative headquarters of America's first national park, the army's work at Fort Yellowstone between 1886 and 1918 directly shaped the conservation policies and organizational principles that led to the creation of the National Park Service in 1916. Working on this type of project requires an understanding of preservation at its most stringent level.

We Work with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards
We regularly perform work on buildings governed by the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. These standards inform how we approach both restoration and product design.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all rule, each project is evaluated based on its structure, objectives, and level of preservation required. In many cases, that means prioritizing reversibility and minimal impact to historic material. In others, it means making thoughtful, permanent improvements where appropriate. Our experience working within this framework allows architects, consultants, and owners to move forward with confidence.

We design, fabricate, and supply these products directly. Installation by Chosen Wood Window Maintenance is available for select commercial projects in the Pacific Northwest. For projects outside our region, our products are designed to be installed by qualified contractors and carpenters — and we provide the documentation and support to make that straightforward.
